Almost anyone who raided BRF fought Hans and Franz, and probably got smashed by a stamper at least once. Why they’re one of the best bosses in Warlords of Draenor: Do you need any more explanation than the conveyer belts, stampers, and fiery pop-tarts of doom? Hans and Franz fit the perfect niche for an early fight–not too hard, but with really interesting and unique mechanics. At other times, the platforms will stop moving, and enormous stampers will descend from above, forcing the party to dodge the falling stampers or be crushed. Periodically, hot metal sheets that resemble flaming pop-tarts will be sent down the belts and must be dodged. The encounter: One of the early encounters in Blackrock Foundry, Hans’gar and Franzok (or Hans and Franz as they are affectionately dubbed, after the SNL duo) fight the party on a set of five conveyer belts that slowly move together at different times during the encounter, forcing the party to either continuously move to keep from being pushed into the fire at the end, or stand on the thin strips of unmoving metal in between.
